How Gates of Olympus works, round by round

One spin, potentially many payouts. The sequence:

• Your stake buys one drop of the six reels of colourful gem and ring symbols.
• Any symbol landing 8 or more times anywhere pays — position is irrelevant; this is scatter pays.
• Paying symbols are removed and new ones tumble into the gaps; if the refill forms another qualifying group it pays too, until a drop adds nothing new.
• Zeus orbs can land during any tumble, each carrying up to 500x. When the chain ends, all orb values are summed into one total multiplier applied to everything the round paid.

That last rule powers both the rare huge results and the long dry stretches.

An RTP of 96.50 means that, averaged over an enormous number of spins across all players, the game returns 96.50 percent of everything staked; the remainder is the house edge, which our general guides cover. What matters here is the shape, not the average: summed multipliers concentrate returns into rare, heavy events. That is why we call the game high-volatility — our editorial classification, inferred from the mechanics, not a published measurement. Expect sessions where nothing connects; the long-run average already includes them.

Demo mode is the honest tutor: the tumble rhythm, orbs landing on a dead board, a big multiplier applied to a small win — all cheaper to learn with free credits. The feature buy has its own RTP figure, published only in the in-game information sheet, so we print no number — open that sheet in the casino you actually play at; the habit also catches reduced-RTP configurations. And whether you play on an Ontario-registered site or an offshore one serving Canadians, set your budget before the first spin: a summed multiplier is entertainment, not income.
